July Destination Spotlight: Why Austin, Texas Should Be on Your Radar |
This month we’re headed to the Live Music Capital of the World—Austin, Texas! Known for its vibrant music scene, creative energy, and quirky charm, Austin blends city fun with laid-back vibes in the most unforgettable way. We had the chance to visit Austin as a family over Spring Break, and it truly lived up to the hype! We explored South Congress Avenue, filled with trendy boutiques, food trucks, and those iconic Austin murals that practically beg for a photo op. One of Maxwell’s favorite moments? Watching the magical bat flight from under the Congress Avenue Bridge. It’s wild, beautiful, and totally Austin. We also took a peaceful kayak tour on Lady Bird Lake, paddling past the skyline and soaking in the sunshine. And for a perfect outdoor day, we headed to Zilker Park, where we swam in the natural wonder of Barton Springs Pool which is a spring-fed oasis right in the city. Whether you're catching live music on Sixth Street, hiking the Barton Creek Greenbelt, sampling smoky BBQ or farm-to-table cuisine, or dancing through a world-class festival like ACL or SXSW, Austin brings the fun.
